In 2009, Creative Edge extended the Realities for Children Bikes for Tykes program to Douglas County and the South Metro Denver area. We look forward to not only continuing, but growing the reach of this program. Presented by Xperience Colorado and Realities for Children, community members are asked to donate their new and gently used bicycles to the supporting bicycle shops beginning in November. Donated bikes are to be in reasonable working condition and suitable for children ages 3-17. Individuals donate new and used bicycles to Castle Rock Bicycle Company, Bike Source and the Country Pedaler where the bikes are then refurbished and safety-checked to ensure safe riding for each recipient. As always, the kids are provided brand new helmets at the event, courtesy of Hooters restaurants in the Metro Denver area.
